Record Number of Constituent Regions Achieve 100% Participation During 2026 House of Delegates Challenge at Annual Session
Thank you to each member of the AAO House of Delegates who contributed to the AAOPAC as part of the annual House of Delegates challenge. A record five AAO constituent regions achieved 100% participation with all delegates and alternate delegates contributing $500 or more to AAOPAC in 2026 (or AAO Foundation when applicable for non-U.S. citizens).

Congratulations to the Great Lakes Association of Orthodontists, the Middle Atlantic Society of Orthodontists, the Midwestern Society of Orthodontists, the Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists, and the Southwestern Society of Orthodontists for meeting the challenge and winning the House of Delegates competition. Thank you for your continued support of AAOPAC that helps fuel our AAO advocacy success.

University of North Carolina and Washington MedStar Hospital Orthodontic Resident Programs Achieved 100% AAOPAC “Residents Challenge” Participation
In this year’s annual AAOPAC Residents Challenge prior to AAO Annual Session,
orthodontic residents continued to make a difference through their contributions to AAOPAC and are leading by example to inspire more AAO members to give and help shape the future through advocacy.

A powerful initiative spurring resident engagement came from Dr. Erik Klintmalm (FY25-26 CONYM Liaison to the AAOPAC Board) and orthodontic resident members with roles in the National Advocacy Network including Dr. Heath Padgett, Dr. Rebecca Long, Dr. Sakshi Narayan, Dr. Mady Anglin, Dr. Lake Seymour, Dr. Raven Selden, and Dr. Tommy Lau.

These AAOPAC leaders spearheaded the annual AAOPAC Orthodontic Resident Challenge in 2026 to encourage all orthodontic residency programs to increase the number of contributors to AAOPAC, resulting in 50 orthodontic residents contributing to the AAOPAC between March 3- April 27, 2026.

Resident participation in this fiscal year is outpacing overall AAO member participation, with 6.5% of residents contributing so far this fiscal year compared to 5.8% of current AAO members. The strong engagement from today’s orthodontic residents reflects a growing commitment to advocacy and highlights the importance of building lifelong support for AAOPAC early in one’s career to help shape the future of the AAO and the specialty.

Congratulations to the University of North Carolina, MedStar Washington Hospital Center and all resident contributors for your important support!

Please consider giving any amount now at AAOPAC.org and encourage your peers to make a difference by doing the same! Thank you for your continued support of AAOPAC that helps fuel our AAO advocacy success.
